Trivia

  • The episode never aired and never existed until now so Gone Fishin' (Sort Of) became the pilot insted.

Differences from the TV show

  • Lazlo's appearance is similar to an actual spidermonkey and speaks with a Brazillian accent. The TV series shows him with a different design and an Americanized accent.
  • Raj is seen wearing braces and also speaks in a spitting voice with subtitles. The spitting voice later goes to Pothole McPucker, mayor of Prickly Pines.
  • Clam does not talk at all in this pilot episode.
  • Edward's design is a goose, instead of a platypus.
  • Chip and Skip's flies are not created. Also, Chip and Skip are blue, not purple. There design still remains the same.
  • Lumpus seems to be caring for his campers but only despies Jelly Cabin. He is a horse and has a voice similar to comedian, Don Knotts. Lumpus' original name is Leonard J. Lupus.
  • Samson didn't speak either and does not wear glasses at all.
  • Harold's design was a sea lion, not a walrus. Instead of being a misfit background character, he seems to be a bully like Edward since he has a mohawk and wears a collar.
  • Edward, Chip and Skip and Harold are the only campers that told the Jelly Trio about the curse of Leaky Lake.
  • Nurse Leslie has a deep voice.
  • Chef McNeusli is the camp deacon, not the cook. A controversary scene featuring Chef McNeusli praying was cut out when the pilot aired on TV for the first time.
  • The Jellies had to stay as far away from Lumpus as possible. But in the pilot, they had to stop talking.
  • In the pilot, Edward was not a platypus. Rather, he was an angry yellow color schemed mallard wearing huge sunglasses with a joybuzzer in his hand and a whoopee cushin in his pocket. This could be hints that he was the camp clown. His style of his big eye size from the glasses are later developed of his big agressive eyes.
  • This pilot was animated with traditional hand-drawn cartoon animation featuring no color in a typical sketch pad. That's why the animation style is so different from the rest of the series.
  • Humans are seen in the pilot.
  • The Squirrel Scouts did not appear in the pilot even though they did appear in the revived version of the pilot, the series premiere of the Camp Lazlo series, "Gone Fishin (Sort Of)".
